Information and education supporting expectant and young families- Registered Nurses contact post-partum clients within 48 hours after being home with a new baby, to answer questions, provide support and information, conduct assessments, and make referrals to breastfeeding clinics, parenting programs and the Healthy Babies Healthy Children high risk home visiting program
- residents can also call, email, videoconference or instant message directly with a Registered Nurse
- topics can include:feeding/breastfeeding and caring for baby, sleep, safety, growth and development, as well as depression and anxiety
