- Description
A collaborative, region-wide team of assertive street outreach workers (dispatchers, responders, housing-focused, and specialty outreach focus workers) who support people experiencing unsheltered homelessness to minimize the harmful effects, to support individuals and couples to access diversion services, emergency shelter, and needed referrals, and to help individuals to work towards long-term housing solutions
Referrals to NASO happen through 211, or through other Coordinated Homelessness Access and Diversion (CHAD) services if needed
- Eligibility
- Individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness.
- Application Process
- Community members who are concerned about an individual or individuals who they have encountered that are homeless and unsheltered can call 2-1-1 to be connected with the NASO Team. Unsheltered homeless individuals can also call 2-1-1 to be connected with supports, including access to the NASO team, if eligible.
