- Description
- Helps individuals better manage chronic pain by providing education on chronic pain and disability management
- increasing activity level and helping people remain active even though they experience chronic pain
- improving physical fitness and posture
- improving emotional functioning
Operates on an out-patient basis and typically lasts four weeks (one week of assessment/education and three weeks of treatment).
The interdisciplinary team is comprised of professionals from- nursing
- physiatry
- psychology
- occupational therapy
- physiotherapy
- social work
- vocational rehabilitation
- recreational therapy
- pharmacy
- Eligibility
- Individuals 18 years of age and older, who have had continuous pain for three months or longer that has been thoroughly investigated and generally non-responsive to medical treatment.
