- Individuals:
- with a Body Mass Index (BMI) above 35 with other complex medical problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, reflux, sleep apnea, etc.
- with a BMI of 40 or above
- who are motivated and willing to make eating and lifestyle changes
- who are psychologically and medically fit for surgery
