Homelessness Prevention

Mentorship Program

  • one-to-one long-term adult volunteer mentors and supportive networks

Mental Health Program

  • counselling
  • access to trauma-informed psychotherapist
  • support in accessing community services
Eligibility
Youth and young adults 10-25 years involved in the child protection system who lack adult support; have experienced trauma, abuse and unstable guardian care; are economically disadvantaged and/or are living in or transitioning out of the foster care system; includes youth participating in provincial initiatives Continued Care and Support for Youth (CCSY), Ready Set Go (RSG), and Voluntary Youth Services Agreement (VYSA)
Residency Requirements: Greater Toronto Area
Application Process
Self referral, or referral from youth worker, social worker, Children's Aid Society, group or foster home, teacher, guidance counsellor, or family member; referral form available online
