Description

Medically managed intensive inpatient treatment and withdrawal management of severe substance use

  • comprehensive withdrawal management and stabilization
  • integrated treatment planning and referral
  • support with coping skills in early sobriety
  • pharmacological treatments
  • nicotine replacement therapy available in tobacco-free environment
  • group, individual and psychoeducation sessions
  • program duration 3-21 days, depending on individual need
  • multidisciplinary team
Eligibility
Individuals 18 years and older with severe and persistent substance use and complex health issues who need more intensive treatment than what is available in the community
Application Process
Voluntary admission: Self referral through Access CAMH or referral through CAMH emergency department
Telephone assessment/screening required prior to admission and placement on wait list; no admission on weekends or public holidays
