ABI Day Programs
Structured group learning environment offering training, recreational activities and social support
  • 10-12 week programs
  • in-person programs Tuesday-Saturday at the Paula Cassin Learning Centre
  • virtual programs available
  • visit online calendar of events

Community Program
6-12 week program held in clients home or community location once or twice a week
  • assessment required
  • individualized needs and goals plan
  • goal areas include money management, education or employment, community orientation and travel training, daily living skills and stress management

Supportive Housing
Cooperative environment at Edwards Manor, located at Royal York and Bloor
  • 24 hour support services
  • capacity 10
Eligibility
Supportive Housing: adults 59 years and older who have sustained mild to severe brain injury who require long term supported living environment; must provide medical documentation confirming diagnosis
  • able and willing to live in community setting
  • able to work on short and long term goals and commit to the program
  • do not present a harm to themselves or others
  • are able to interact safely while out in the community
Day Programs: individuals 18-65 years with mild to moderate acquired brain injury who are able to learn in group environment; must provide medical documentation confirming diagnosis
  • must be independent for all transportation and personal support requirements
  • do not present a harm to themselves or others
  • are able to work on short and/or long term goals and ommit to the program
Community Program: individuals 18-65 years old with an acquired brain injury who are able to identify and work towards short term goals
