Access to support, prevention, and community based interventions

PrEP Clinic: Weekly free HIV testing, Sexually Transmitted and Blood Borne Infection (STBBI) testing and treatment, PrEP consultations. Mon 6 pm-9 pm by appointments only at #601, 7700 Hurontario Street, Brampton ON, L6Y 4M3. ON, L6Y 4M3

HIV Client Support Service Program
  • case management services; wellness checks; follow up
  • one-on-one counselling; needs assessment
  • HIV pre and post-test counselling
  • referrals to healthcare professionals, social workers and legal services
  • support with access and adherence to treatment and medications
  • access to hot meals
  • transportation support to medical appointments; accompaniment
  • connections and coordination of support among peers
  • system navigation and advocacy; settlement services
  • help with ODSP, Trillium Health Program, OW and CPPD applications
Harm Reduction Services
  • distribution of harm reduction, safer sex supplies
  • overdose prevention/Naloxone training and distribution
  • sharing information on safer substance use and sexual health; updates on street, prescription drugs and Bad Drug Reports
  • peer education, outreach and satellite sites
  • referrals to other health and social services
  • harm reduction trainings for people who use drugs and service providers
2SLGBTQ+ Services
  • Removing the Barriers: 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion training for service providers
  • Chai n' Chat: online wellness consultation for 2SLGBTQ+ individuals,
  • Queer Minds: online social support group for 2SLGBTQ+ individuals
  • Totally Outright Program: educational sessions and confidential one-on-one meetings
  • Rainbow Salad Virtual Information Hub: online hub providing interdisciplinary services and resources that serve the needs of the 2SLGBTQ+ community in Peel
Community Engagement Programs and Services
  • vommunity gatherings - bi-weekly drop-ins (We belong)
  • HIV Treatment update workshops - monthly Lunch and Learn
  • health promotion and capacity building training for HIV clients; capacity building and training for community partners and services providers.
  • Theatre for Positive Mental Health: mental health support for African, Caribbean and Black (ACB) communities in Peel utilizing theatre and art.
  • The Young Black Women's Project: leadership program for young femme-identifying individuals between the ages of 18-30
  • The Care Collective: A space for ACB women and femme-identifying folks to gather and discuss destigmatizing HIV and sexual health
  • The Muslim Women's Health Series: promotion of health and wellbeing among Muslim women.
  • Women and HIV/AIDS Initiatives (WHAI)
  • provides HIV-related information to service providers at local community events, forums or conferences
  • distributes resource materials and HIV prevention tools (safer sex materials, information, condoms)
  • HIV-related referrals to local organizations
