Anyone wanting to obtain a copy of a Divorce Order or Certificate of Divorce Decree must get it from the court where the divorce was heard. Contact the Ministry of the Attorney General's website to locate court offices:

If the divorce was granted in Ontario prior to 1979, documentation can be obtained from the Archives of Ontario (staff will require the year the divorce was granted, court location and the court file number, if you do not have this information, call the Central Registry of Divorce Proceedings Office first):
