- Description
Personal Support Workers are available to provide company and care for a loved one, manage light housework, and prepare meals while a caregiver takes a few hours for themselves in or away from the home.
The service can help those providing care for seniors and people with special needs with the much-needed respite to support them in their caregiving roles. Following an in-home comprehensive assessment, a service plan is developed and a PSW is scheduled to provide care.
- Eligibility
- Anyone in the City of Kawartha Lakes who requires relief from a care giving role or any dependent who requires support to enable them to stay in the home.
