Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes

Affordable and nutritious hot and frozen foods are available to seniors and adults with special needs across the City of Kawartha Lakes through the Meals on Wheels program.

Meals on Wheels program helps ensure clients' nutritional needs are met while also providing social interaction and a safety check from the volunteers who make the deliveries.

Hot meal delivery includes soup, bun, entree and dessert and are scheduled throughout the week based on location. (not available on weekends)

Frozen meal includes entrees, soups and desserts prepared by Apetito Canada and are available in regular or special diets.

Special diets include:

• diabetic
• low calorie
• low fat
• low sodium
• vegetarian
• vegan
• lactose free
• controlled potassium and phosphorus
• renal diets
