YWCA Hamilton provides inclusive, community-based services to support newcomer women, youth, and gender-diverse individuals in their settlement and integration journey in Hamilton.
Services include:
- Settlement-related information sessions
- Individual needs assessments and community referrals
- Employment readiness workshops, job fairs, and one-on-one job development support
- Gender-based violence prevention and support services
- 2SLGBTQIA+ newcomer programming
- Art-based wellness workshops, citizenship preparation, and monthly library tours
- Newcomer-Indigenous connections
- Eligibility
- Participants must identify as a woman, gender-diverse, or non-binary and be a Permanent Resident, Protected Person/Convention Refugee, or a Live-in Caregiver with an approved work permit.
