Provides care by clinicians and psychiatrists who assess and treat patients with acute mental health problems who have presented to the emergency department. Works in partnership with other inpatient and outpatient mental health services to assist individuals in finding the right level of care.

- Referrals are made by either a family physician or an emergency room doctor. No appointment necessary to visit the emergency room.
