- Description
Offers care attendants who provide physical assistance with activities of daily living such as personal grooming, transferring, dressing, bathing, meals, ventilator, tracheotomy services, and more. Where funding and resources are available and in conjunction with personal care, this program can help with daily activities such as homemaking services.
- Eligibility
- To be eligible applicants must: be 16 years of age or older and have a valid OHIP health card have a permanent physical disability or functional limitation which results in the inability to independently complete personal care routines be able to direct their care (be capable of managing, determining, and communicating when and how they need assistance, and are able to co-operate with this provision) have a service location that has/will have the physical features necessary for services to be delivered without a significant risk of serious physical harm to staff not be in receipt of insurance funds for provision of attendant services
