John Howard Society Extrajudicial Measures and Extrajudicial Sanctions Programs
- Description
Youth are diverted from the formal youth justice process, while being held accountable for their actions in a community context. Each young person is designed a program of measures that addresses their risks and needs of the person(s) harmed in the community.
These programs are funded by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services. The Extrajudicial Measures Program is offered in partnership with Hamilton Police Services. The Extrajudicial Sanctions Program is offered in partnership with the Hamilton Crown Attorney's Office and Hamilton Youth Probation Services.

- Open to youth 12 to 17 years of age.
