John Howard Society Community Anger Management Program
- Description
This anger management program uses an educational treatment approach to give individuals the skills they need to manage anger and other emotions associated with aggression and anti-social behaviour. The program consists of ten two-hour group sessions.
Topics include:
- understanding anger as an emotion
- identifying personal triggers and healthy calming strategies
- impact of stress and how to manage it effectively
- setting healthy boundaries in relationships
- effective communication and conflict resolution skills
- healthy self-esteem
- trauma informed approach
- Eligibility
- Must be 18 years of age or older. Separate groups for men and women.
- Application Process
- Referrals welcome from court, lawyers, community partners, or self-referral. Contact for information.
