A registered charity that supports early child development and parenting. Programs address parenting needs, including social isolation and postpartum depression and also focus on early literacy

Programs include:

  • Roots of Empathy - anti-bullying program within elementary schools
    • helps children develop emotional literacy and reduces aggression
    • key to the program is bringing a baby into the classroom once per month to observe child development and nurturing
  • Launch Pad - early learning and parenting centre
    • drop-in program for parents of preschool children
  • Parachute Program/ Transitioning to Parenthood - for moms facing challenges after the birth of an infant, which may include postpartum depression
    • programs include music time for mothers and babies and a chance to connect with other mothers
  • ECE Awards
  • Storybook Character Breakfast
  • Dolly Parton Imagination Library - provides children under five years old with a free book per month to encourage literacy
  • Prenatal Workshops - free occasional workshops for women at high risk of developing postpartum depression
