Skill-building and support services enable the family, including siblings, parents and/or guardians to better address a child or youth's mental health issues by changing attitudes and behaviours, providing support as they adjust to new diagnoses, building skills and competencies, and/or creating awareness and resiliency

Family/caregiver skill-building and support services may include the provision of effective parenting strategies as well as access to peer supports to promote resilience and positive child/youth/family functioning

Respite Program - provides respite services to children and youth with identified mental health concerns who require short-term relief from families and caregivers to allow them to recharge and reflect. The Respite Program is tailored to the needs of the child or youth and their family. The program provides activities and programming that promote skill development and help build self-confidence and independence Improving social skills and making friends are also part of the program

Respite is offered in a variety of ways including:

• weekly one-on-one sessions
• social groups
• Summer / Winter / March Break programming
• PA Day programming

Virtual groups and/or overnight opportunities may be explored
