Closed application process, the benefit is not presently available to the general public

Eligible applicants will be contacted directly by City of Toronto staff or eligible referring Community Partners

Provides direct monthly benefit payment to eligible households to help pay their rent

Benefit payments are:

• portable - benefits may be received even if moved to another address
• based on household income and local market rent

Households who are approved for this program must consent to be removed from the social housing waiting list

• on, or eligible to be on, the Centralized Waiting List for Rent Geared-to-Income subsidized housing
• living in social housing

• survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking
• people experiencing or at risk of homelessness
• Indigenous people
• seniors
• with disabilities
