Program of Cancer Care Ontario:

  • Province wide screening program
  • Screens 2 different groups of people who are eligible for breast cancer screening in Ontario: those at average risk and those at high risk
Eligibility
Ages 40-74 years at average risk for breast cancer
Ages 30-69 at high risk for breast cancer
Application Process
  • Appointment required (ages 54-74 can call Ontario Breast Screen Program to make an appointment)
  • Referral by family doctor or nurse practitioner (ages 30-69)
