Project Turn-Around
- culturally appropriate intervention program for at-risk youth and family
- counselling, employment and training supports, and mentorship
Rites of Passage Youth Mentorship Program
- for African-Canadian youth in or around Northwest Toronto, ages 12-16 years
- one to one mentoring with an adult; culturally appropriate workshops
Youth Outreach Worker (YOW) Program
- for youth 12-29 years from East African, Muslim and Black communities
- youth outreach workers offer services to empower youth
- promotes engagement of youth and their families in the community as well as increases youths' access to opportunities
- offers pre-employment development services such as assistance with job search, resumes, cover letters, interview skills
- assists youth in applying for programs such as Skilled Trades & Pre-Apprenticeship Programs and Bridging Programs to Post-secondary Education
Student & Family Advocate (SFA) Program
- supports Black students aged 6-13 and 14-18 years old in the northwest area of Toronto and Etobicoke
- empowers Black students and families with knowledge and skills to navigate and advocate for their rights within Ontario school system
- attends meetings with teachers, guidance counselors, and school administrators
- recognizes racial profiling and anti-Black incidents in students' schools, education, careers, and life pathways.
Youth in Community Services (YICS) Program
- dedicated to empowering minority and racialized youth aged 15-29 in Northwest Toronto
- provides participating youth with a diverse range of skills that enhance their personal and professional development, enabling them to succeed in any career path they choose
- encourages and enables youth to become active participants in their communities, promoting positive change and lasting improvements
- cultivates sense of civic responsibility and democratic participation among youth, empowering them to contribute meaningfully to society.
