- Description
A program that advises a 911 operator that a deaf, deafened, hard of hearing, or speech impaired caller needs to communicate using text messaging instead of by voice. The 911 operator then initiates text messaging with the caller to address the emergency.

- Eligibility
- The deaf, deafened, hard of hearing, or speech impaired (DHHSI) community in Canada; must have an active wireless subscription and a 3G, 4G, or GSM cell phone meeting minimum requirements.
- Application Process
- Pre-registration with a wireless service provider is a prerequisite to access this service.
