Description

Restorative Justice is an alternative to the Criminal Justice System of Canada

  • focuses on repairing harm caused by crime and criminal behaviour through a circle process
  • facilitators meet with all participants individually to discuss what to expect, plan and facilitate the Restorative Justice Circle
Eligibility
First Nations people age 12 years and older living in Brantford or Six Nations willing to accept and acknowledge that they have caused harm and/or committed a crime and are willing to repair the harm created and engage in a healing path

Pre-charge and post-charge cases accepted
Application Process
Speak with lawyer, Justice of the Peace, Duty Council, or Court Worker about seeking Restorative Justice Diversion
