- Description
Restorative Justice is an alternative to the Criminal Justice System of Canada
- focuses on repairing harm caused by crime and criminal behaviour through a circle process
- facilitators meet with all participants individually to discuss what to expect, plan and facilitate the Restorative Justice Circle
- Eligibility
- First Nations people age 12 years and older living in Brantford or Six Nations willing to accept and acknowledge that they have caused harm and/or committed a crime and are willing to repair the harm created and engage in a healing path
Pre-charge and post-charge cases accepted - Application Process
- Speak with lawyer, Justice of the Peace, Duty Council, or Court Worker about seeking Restorative Justice Diversion
