Canada Ontario Housing Benefit


Description
Monthly benefit payment to help eligible households pay their rent. Benefit payments are:
  • portable, so benefit may be received after moving to another address
  • based on household income and local market rent values
Eligibility
  • Individuals or families experiencing or at risk of homelessness
  • survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking
  • Indigenous people
  • seniors
  • individuals with disabilities
  • Eligible households must be either on, or eligible to be on, the social housing waiting list
