Mental Health and Addictions Services
- Description
Mental health and addictions team provides mental health wellness services that are culturally safe and trauma-informed for members of the urban community who self-identify as having Indigenous ancestry
Services include:- Counselling - for children and youth 6-24 years and adult counselling
- Outreach Case Management and Navigation Services - provides a holistic range of supports to individuals 10 years and older, families and community
- Peer Support - provides support to individuals 16 years and older for recovery from the perspective of someone with lived experience of mental health and/or addictions
- Eligibility
- Counselling is available for children and youth ages 6-24 years and Adults
- Outreach Case Management and Navigation Services are available to anyone age 10 years and older to provide a holistic range of support to individuals, families, and community to ensure that the needs of the community are met
- Peer Support is available to ages 16 years and older to provide support and hope for recovery from the perspective of someone with lived experience of mental health and/or addictions
- Counselling is available for children and youth ages 6-24 years and Adults
- Application Process
- Self-referral is highly encouraged/preferred and can be done by contacting any of the Aboriginal Health Centre numbers and ext 255
- referral will be accepted from other sources/agencies/service providers
