YMCA Hamilton Bridge to Work Program
- Description
Free program for internationally trained teachers and early childhood educators. Program includes:
- 2 week employment readiness training
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Food Handlers Certification
- Introduction to child care centres, policy and procedures
- 16 week work placement
- One-on-one mentorship
- Eligibility
- Program applicants must: be internationally trained with experience teaching or working in a child care setting be a Permanent Resident, Convention Refugee, an individual whose Permanent Resident application has been approved in principle, or a foreign domestic workers admitted under the Live-In Caregiver program have a Canadian English Language Benchmark of level 6 or higher
