Financial and employment assistance to individuals and families residing in the City of Brantford and in Brant County who are in need

Assistance includes income support for basic needs and shelter for eligible persons as well as access to benefits such as:

• drug coverage
• health benefits (for individuals with special diet requirements, who are
• pregnant/breastfeeding, require diabetic supplies, etc)
• transportation for medical appointments
• benefits to support life stabilization

Ontario Works also works closely with recipients to coordinate access to Employment Ontario and/or support recipients with applications to the Ontario Disability Support Program

Eligible low-income residents of Brantford and Brant County, including those receiving Social Assistance benefits, may receive help covering the cost of funerals, cremations, or burials. Eligibility is based on the income and assets of the deceased, not the financial situation of the family member applying
