Description

Provides financial assistance for eligible families requiring child care for children 0-12 years old.

Depending on circumstances, applicants may be put on existing waiting list. Wait times will vary according to a family's priority for service and the available funding.

Eligibility
Eligibility is based on income and reasons for needing child care. Applicants must live in Hamilton, and be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, Refugee, or have a valid Work Permit. At least one of the following criteria must be met: Working or attending school a minimum of 20 hours/week Participating in an approved employment assistance activity through Ontario Works Received approval through the child care referral process Child care provider must be on list of approved child care operators on the child care registry. All applicants must require child care within the next three months to be eligible to submit an application.
