- Description
The Ontario Works program helps people in temporary financial need find sustainable employment and achieve self-reliance through the provision of effective, integrated employment services and financial assistance.
Assistance includes:
- money to help with living expenses, including food and rent, based on family size, housing costs, and income
- health benefits for applicants and eligible family members
- Eligibility
- To qualify for Ontario Works financial assistance, applicants must: be at least 16 years of age be an Ontario resident have assets no greater than the limits set out in the program be in financial need
