Community Living Hamilton Respite Services
- Description
Community Living Hamilton offers a variety of respite services, including day trips, overnight stays, and cottage vacations for adults and children with developmental disabilities, fostering social interaction, friendships, and personal growth, as well as providing caregivers with peace, security, and comfort.
- Templemead: Respite for families of adult children who live at home, offering day visits and overnight weekend stays.
- Charlton: Respite for caregivers of children or youth, aged 6-21 years, available when school is closed. Offers day visits, overnight weekend stays, and week-long stays in July and August.
- Leeming: Respite for caregivers with a child aged 6-18 years, offered during the day on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Dragonfly Lodge: A lakeside cottage providing a fun and meaningful vacation for up to 6 clients at a time, ages 18 and up.
- Eligibility
- Open to children, youth, and adults with a developmental disability. Contact for specific program requirements.
- Application Process
- Children and youth who meet the eligibility criteria are referred by Contact Hamilton at 905-570-8888. Eligible adults are referred by Developmental Services Ontario at 1-877-376-4674. Services may also be available on a fee-for-service basis, contact Community Living Hamilton for information.
