Emergency, low-barrier housing focused shelters and drop-in services
Shelter services provide:
- housing focused supports
- access to onsite support to help with goal setting, housing, and case management
- three shelter locations in Ajax and Whitby
Hub drop-in services provide:
- support to individuals experiencing, or at-risk of homelessness
- support for individuals who are precariously housed or food insecure
- service navigation, community meals, showers, pantry access (food, clothing, hygiene, and essential items)
- on-site partner agencies (harm reduction, addiction counselling, OW, ODSP, housing support, etc)
- recreational and wellness programming (life skills, arts, employment, personal development)
Additional Programs:
- peer support
- housing attainment, relations, and retention
- food bank (see separate entry)
- Eligibility
- Shelters: individuals 18 years and older, must be coherent enough to complete the consent process upon entry and able to care for their own hygiene needs
HUB drop-in services: individuals 18 years and older - Application Process
- Call Central Intake at 365-885-3173 from 11 am-11 pm, or email [email protected] All locations: paraphernalia, weapons (legal items that can be used as weapons), and medication (excluding emergency prescriptions such as an inhaler or EpiPen) must be checked and stored with a staff member Illegal substances are not allowed on site

Required for all: consent to the Code of Conduct and consent to the Homeless Individuals and Families Information system (HIFIS) upon admission--secured shared database for agencies within the Homelessness Support System (detailed information only shared with other service agencies that the client has consented to working with)
