Healing & Wellness - Aging At Home Program
- Description
The program provides holistic support to Métis adults 55 years and older
An in-home service that assists with:- light homemaking, vacuuming, dusting, washing floors, cleaning bathrooms, laundry and linen change
- transportation needs for community-based errands
- referrals
- lawn cutting
- snow removal
- elder advocacy
Additional supports could include:
- lawn care maintenance - spring clean up, maintenance to support by-laws
- meal preparation and food insecurity funding
- Eligibility
- Métis adults age 55 years and older without family support
- must have a referral from a family physician, nurse practitioner or chiropractor; annual update of referrals required
