Provides fire services to protect lives, property and the environment.
Services include emergency medical response including

  • automatic defibrillation
  • vehicle accidents and extrications
  • public hazards
  • hazardous material incidents (awareness level)
  • search and rescue services
  • water and ice rescue
  • disaster and emergency planning
  • fire prevention services
  • fire prevention inspections and public education

Fire Department is directed by a full-time Fire Chief working with 80 dedicated volunteers

  • Volunteer Fire Fighters complete a recruit training program in accordance with provincial standards as well as bi-weekly in-station training
