- Description
Addresses the needs of low income and vulnerable people with pet companions who are homeless, marginally housed, incarcerated, hospitalized, or experiencing violence and currently in need of emergency accommodations and/or health care for their animal companions.
- Eligibility
- Open to individuals and their companion animal, if they are residents of the City of Hamilton and are: Homeless and seeking emergency accommodations in a shelter Experiencing violence and are in need of emergency accommodations Hospitalized due to mental/medical health concerns Facing incarceration Seeking in-patient substance abuse treatment
- Application Process
- Referrals must be made through shelter and community support workers.
