Eligibility
Residents of Toronto who are behind on rent and are on the lease as a lease holder, or persons moving to Toronto and need assistance with a rental deposit Applicants must be paying market rent for a rental unit covered by the Residential Tenancies Act and not spending more than 85% of household income on rent, further details available online Must not be current recipients of Ontario Works (OW) or Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)

Documents Required
ID and proof of income with a Toronto address

Arrears applicants: confirmation of arrears (letter from landlord or tenet ledger), eviction notice, or Landlord Tenant Board documents

Deposit applicants: letter from new landlord or lease, and confirmation of rental deposit amount
