The Apatisiwin Employment and Training program provides community-based and one-to-one supports and resources and can assist urban Indigenous individuals to access a range of training, education and skills development opportunities.
Program Services:
- Employment Counselling: One-on-one support for career goal-setting, skill identification, and job search.
- Skills Development: Access to training and education to build industry-relevant skills.
- Job Search Assistance: Help with resumes, cover letters, applications, and job matching.
- Networking & Outreach: Connects clients with potential employers, trainers, and organizations.
- Training/Action Plans: Personalized plans to guide clients through training and career paths.
- Labour Market Info: Insights on job trends, the hidden job market, and community resources.

- Eligibility
- 18 year(s) and up
Unemployed or Underemployed: Individuals who are not fully employed or are seeking to change careers. Urban Indigenous Individuals: Self-declared First Nation, Métis, and Inuit persons residing in an urban Ontario environment. Social Insurance Number: Must have a valid SIN to participate in the program. Documentation: Must complete all required documentation before accessing services. - Application Process
