Youth Diversion, Youth Justice Committee, Extrajudicial Measures/Extrajudicial Sanctions
- Description
Youth Diversion works with police, courts, the community and schools to keep young people with minor offenses out of the court system. Goal is for the young person to repair the harm done and be held accountable for the offense.
Youth Justice Committee is part of the Youth Diversion Program, which offers an opportunity for youth in conflict with the law to engage in restorative justice practices. These practices include restorative circles, facilitated dialogues, or other approaches guided by restorative principles.
