- Description
- citizen advisory committee authorized by Regional Council to advise and assist the Regional Municipality of Halton with respect to the minimization of waste going to landfill through such activities as reduction, reuse and recycling of solid waste generated in Halton
- provides advice with respect to offsite impacts due to operations at the Halton Waste Management Site
- Eligibility
Citizens interested in waste reduction are selected by Regional Council for a term that coincides with the term of the Council, expiring on November 30 of the year in which the municipal election is held
- Application Process
- advertisements are placed in local newspapers and on the Region's website when committee members are needed
- interested citizens can submit their name and a brief resume to the Regional Clerk
- interviews are conducted with the applicants who are most suited to serve on the Committee
