Description

Offers drop-in skating programs for people of all ages and abilities at a variety of indoor and outdoor rinks throughout the year

Arenas:

To book a rink, room, or arena floor apply online or call 905-335-7738

Burlington Rotary Centennial Pond:

  • during the winter, offers free recreational skating with no need to reserve a spot in advance, weather permitting
  • for more information, see here

Neighbourhood Rinks:

  • City installs the boards, provides a rink liner and hoses, and resident volunteers agree to build and maintain the ice using their own water source

Skate Lending Program:

  • borrow a pair from the Skate Hub at Appleby Ice Centre, Arena A
  • skates are available on a first-come, first serve basis and sizes may vary
  • residents are not required to sign out skates and can borrow and use the pair of skates for as long as they need

Skate Donation Program:

  • gently used skates may be dropped off in the red bins located at the front of the Customer Service counters in the arenas

Toboggan Hills:

The City of Burlington has designated hills where tobogganing is permitted (for precise locations of hills and more details see here)
