The Mobile Crisis Rapid Response Team (MCRRT) pairs police officers with mental health professionals to respond directly to crisis situations in the community
- provides on-scene crisis response with teams made up of police officers, psychologists and mental health clinicians
- supports individuals experiencing mental health crises through de-escalation and immediate intervention
- ensures mental health assessments are completed where they are needed most
- advocates for individuals in crisis and helps connect them to appropriate community supports
- operates in partnership with St. Joseph's Healthcare and Halton Healthcare
