Description

Information on para-transit in Peel Region, services for disabled residents include;

  • door to door trips may be booked for a specific day and time, on a flexible pick-up basis, or by subscription for recurring daily, weekly or monthly trips
  • return trips and cross-boundary travel to connecting regional service providers can be arranged
  • check website for eligibility requirements and policies, support persons may be mandatory in some circumstances
  • access to taxi vouchers
Eligibility
Persons experiencing a short term or permanent disability that prevents them from using conventional public transit, or prevents them from using conventional public transit under certain conditions
  • disabilities defined by the Ontario Human Rights Code; including, but not limited to physical, sensory, cognitive or mental health disabilities
  • considered on a case-by-case basis
  • some disabilities may require confirmation by a healthcare professional
Residency requirement - Brampton, Mississauga or the Town of Caledon
Application Process
Apply online or download application to fax, mail or drop off

Health Care Information section of the application must be completed by a healthcare professional, visit website for details

Drop off locations are Service Peel centres in Brampton or Mississauga

In-person or virtual assessment may be required
