Provides prevention, risk intervention and awareness support to Halton youth, ages 12-18
One-On-One Support:
Youth meet regularly with a YMCA worker to take actions toward their goals; they are supported in navigating through challenges in areas such as:
- mental wellness
- school, peer, and/or family pressure
- employment
- community involvement
- access to basic needs
- connecting to community services
Meeting locations and frequencies are flexible - can be held virtually or in-person at community spaces (e.g., YMCA, library, cafe, community centre)
Group Workshops:
Youth can learn valuable life skills through information sessions and/or participating in our workshop series; workshop topics can include:
- mental wellness / emotional well-being
- employment skills
- communication skills
- financial literacy
- time management
- social media and online safety
