Literacy and basic skills training including numeracy, digital, communication and interpersonal skills
- helps learners prepare for employment, apprenticeship, secondary-school credit, post-secondary education and greater independence
- available in person or online, with sufficient enrollment
- learners must be able to work independently, without the aid of a support worker and be able to set and meet learning goals
- Basic and Intermediate Computer Skills Workshops available throughout the year
Services support programming for Deaf, Anglophone, Francophone and Indigenous learners.
- Eligibility
Ages: 18 year(s) and up
- Ontario adults aged 18 and older who are employed or unemployed and receive income support, with reading, writing, and math skills below Grade 12
- must have facility in English (Canadian Language Benchmark Level 6 preferred)
- willing to commit to a minimum of 10 hours of study per week
