Programs for Elementary School Students
- Description
Provides educational services to thousands of elementary aged students each year through:
International and Indigenous Languages Elementary Program (IILE)- for ages JK-Grade 8
- offered from Sep-Jun on Friday evenings or Saturday mornings
Grade 6, 7 & 8 Summer School Programs
- offered throughout the month of July
- for grade 6,7 & 8 students
- designed for current HDSB students that consistently attain a Level 3 or lower on their report card or are Newcomers to Canada
Grade 8 High School Reach Ahead Summer Credit Courses
- students who consistently achieve Level 3 or higher can achieve a high school credit online through remote teacher-led instruction by successfully completing one of 2 summer school courses
- participation in these courses will help students transition into a high school environment, and may result in a spare in their senior year of high school
- Programs run at various sites throughout Halton
