Description

As of May 1, 2025, care-A-van service will be free for all registered adult users with a PRESTO card


A service for people with disabilities who are unable to use conventional transit

  • residents must register to use the service and fulfill the eligibility requirements
  • passengers needs are met through accessible vehicles
  • service is supplemented with local taxi providers
Eligibility
Any resident who has completed an application for the service and met the eligibility requirements (information provided in the application form will be used to determine eligibility)
Application Process
  • application form is available online
  • applications must be certified by a medical practitioner and submitted for approval
  • once registered, passengers may book a ride via telephone with the care-A-van office, via automated phone, web, or app
  • registration can be on a temporary or permanent basis
  • Children, youth, adults and seniors ride free with a valid PRESTO card
