Superior Court of Justice - Family Court - Off Site Mediation Services
- Description
Family mediators help parties reach an agreement on family issues including:
- support payments
- division of property
- custody of and access to the children
- any other family-related issues
Mediators do not take sides or make decisions for the parties
Child Protection Mediators assist families who are involved with the Children's Aid Society to work out a plan for their children which addresses the child protection concern
- mediators cannot give legal advice
- service is offered away from the court location, at the office of the mediator
- service may also be provided using appropriate technology, for example by meeting on line
